Digital Artwork Gallery presents Lake Ohrid from an elevated viewpoint on the western slope of Galičica, looking across the broad blue expanse of the lake toward the distant Jablanica range. Pale limestone, dry grasses, low shrubs, and sparse mountain vegetation occupy the foreground, while the shoreline curves naturally below into clearer turquoise shallows. The main body of the lake stretches across most of the composition in deeper blue tones, leading toward a long western mountain wall softened by distance. Small traces of settlement remain visually subordinate along the far shore, allowing the lake basin and surrounding landforms to remain the dominant subjects.
The watercolor-on-paper treatment uses transparent washes, soft atmospheric transitions, and visible paper texture to separate foreground, water, and distant mountains. Clear daylight produces restrained tonal variation across the lake, with lighter turquoise near the shore and deeper blue farther out. The foreground limestone is handled with firmer dry-brush texture, while the mountains recede through cooler blue-gray and muted green layers. Scattered clouds break the open sky without overwhelming the landscape, and the broad horizontal composition emphasizes the real scale of Lake Ohrid between Galičica and Jablanica.
